I very personal story I have about the ASPCA and me is that I adopted my dog from the ASPCA when I was 2 years old. She was abandoned as a puppy and thrown over a fence because her owners didn’t want her anymore. At the time she was bought for my dad who was turning 40 and she was 1. To adopt her we had to sign an adoption contract and the 2 main factors on it that we would agree to take her to the vet and that if we couldn’t care for her we would take her back to the ASPCA, of course we said yes. We then later named her Rosie and she was the joy in our lives I cant imagine my life without her now. She is 15 years old this June and still going strong all though she might be older now she is still loved and cared about as much as the first day I got her the connection I share with Rosie is nothing I have shared with anyone else she will always be there for me no matter what happens. I love Rosie unconditionally and she is the best dog I could have ever asked for or have no dog after Rosie will compare.

The up and coming things for the ASPCA would be their spring banquet. It is an annual event that has been going on for years. I really enjoy hearing about this event after it happens it raises the ASPCA so much money that is necessary to continue their services. Everyone gets dressed up in ball gowns and just dances and does everything to help the ASPCA. A few things still need to be done including accepting applications from volunteers and workers. The ASPCA is more of a business then an organization. They continue to have work to do everyday like a normal business they just don’t get paid for their services they only get money donated to them. They are based out of New York but have other offices all over the country, which helps them be able to save many more animals. I think what still needs to be done in the Animals society for the prevention of cruelty of animals is raise money and go on more missions to help the animals like going on more missions and rescuing them from harmful situations. I am so proud of how much the ASPCA has accomplished lately it is truly wonderful and inspirational.

The ASPCA recently granted the right to 100,00 USA dollars to help the horses which was first established by Henry Bergh.  The money was used to help train professionals at the ASPCA to help with the fertility of wild horses. The Science and Convention center will help train the professionals and volunteers at the ASPCA when working with the contraceptive vaccine. Last year the ASPCA Equine Fund was awarded nearly $1.5 million in grant funding. I believe that by the ASPCA training their professionals in the field of contraceptive for horses will greatly raise the wild horse population in the hopes that they do not go extinct and they continue to flourish through out the years. This is just another example of why the ASPCA is such a wonderful cause by the fact that they don’t just help dogs and cats they help all types of animals including horses.

The ASPCA gets more then enough money donated to them annually so there is no required fund that they have put up. They are the biggest organization against the prevention of animal cruelty. In the ASPCA when you donate money 74% of it goes to programs, 22% goes to fund raising, and 4% goes to administrative. Most of the funds come from contributions, grants and memberships, and second is animal health service fees. Third are bequests and trust income, then investment, fifth is royalties and licenses, then federated campaigns, then other revenues, and last is specials events. All these funds form a total income of 141,390,835 last year.
I am very happy with the amount of money that goes to help animals, it is obvious by researching this that pretty much all the people in the administration are really interested in helping the animals and aren’t doing for the money. Out of the total income made last year only 5,221,402 go to the administration. This is one of the main reasons I believe in this cause is because how much all the people really care and help the animals. All  the people in the organization do everything they can to make it so they get awareness out about the ASPCA and they use most of the money to help the animals or do fund raising and banquets to raise money and awareness.

This article is about what the ASPCA has to deal with everyday. They hear and see all kinds of traumatic things the animals are put through on a regular basis and go in and get them out of those situations.  This whole article is what many of our animal’s population has to go through on a regular basis. They are helpless and cannot protect them selves from the harsh punishments of the world. This article I think is a perfect example of why the ASPCA was created in the first place. I find it terrible that anyone would be able to treat an animal like this and be okay with them self. The ASPCA sees and acts on things like this everyday and unfortunately people seem to turn a blind eye to animal cruelty.  This type of article really makes me want to volunteer and do things to prevent this for all the other animals effected by this.  I hate that there are people who would be able to do this to not only one but also hundreds of innocent animals that can not fight back or protect them selves. I believe that they should make more laws about this in order to protect more animals and let people go in there and get these animals out of the situation.

The ASPCA is one of kind; it really is such an inspirational and helpful organization.  It is all about saving all types of animals in need. The ASPCA is a very nurturing group it helps dogs in puppy mills and all abandoned animals. The ASPCA stands American Society for Prevention of Cruelty of Animals. It is an outreach organization that's primary goal is providing optimistic result for animals in jeopardy. the ASPCA has had a lot of milestones the biggest one was them being able to reinforce the protection of animals and take control and make arrests against people abusing animals. They have many shelters that make it available for people to adopt dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. Their headquarters in New York City can house over 300 cats and dogs at ease. Henry Bergh discovered it in 1866 on the thought that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment and need be protected by the law. The charter for ASPCA was passed on April 1866 and nine days later a law was passed against the cruelty of animals and the ASPCA was granted the right to implement it. The donations that people give are all donated to the help and caring of animals that were treated cruelly and getting them out of those situations.  It was the first humane society, in New York City, to be granted the right to investigate and make arrests for crimes against animals.

This cause is important to me because I am very passionate about helping all animals and the ASPCA is one example of a great organization that helps animals. I love everything this organization does the help and protect animals also. The ASPCA is also very important to me because I adopted my dog when she was 1 after being abandoned as a puppy from them. Not only did they do everything to help her have a new safe home they really helped and guided us on how to care for her and what is best in situations with dogs that have been abandoned.

In future posts I will hope to bring you more information on what the ASPCA does and what I do. What the ASPCA does is truly amazing and I hope to be able to share with you real facts about them in hopes that you will learn something new and be inclined to help this organization.
